By using Votara ("the platform"), you agree to these terms.

1. What Votara Is

Votara is a crowd-driven story engine. Users vote on story outcomes, and the collective will shapes a persistent narrative world. All story content published through junctions, recaps, and canon events becomes part of the permanent world history.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use Votara.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
One account per person. Duplicate accounts used to manipulate votes may be suspended.

3. Voting & Story Outcomes

Votes are final once a junction closes. Outcomes cannot be reversed.
Story content is generated by AI based on vote results and reviewed by administrators before publication.
Canon is append-only. Published story events are permanent.
Votara reserves the right to moderate or reject AI-generated content before it becomes canon.

4. Content Guidelines

No hate speech, harassment, or targeted abuse.
No attempts to manipulate votes through bots, fake accounts, or coordinated inauthentic behavior.
No posting of illegal, explicit, or harmful content.
Violations may result in account suspension.

5. Intellectual Property

The Votara world, characters, lore, and all generated story content are owned by Votara.
By voting or participating, you do not acquire ownership of story content.
You may share and discuss Votara content freely, with attribution.

6. Facebook Integration

Some voting occurs via reactions on our Facebook Page. By reacting to a Votara post on Facebook, you consent to your public reaction being counted as a vote. We do not access your Facebook profile beyond the public reaction data on our posts.

7. Availability

Votara is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uptime or uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

8. Limitation of Liability

Votara is an entertainment platform. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, story outcomes, or interactions with other users.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
